Although it is not easy to predict the overall impact of these changes, there is little doubt that the impact will be significant. Chelsea is currently the pre-season favourite at 2.1, Manchester City is next at 12/5, and united remains as third favourite at 5/2. After then the odds lengthen considerably with Arsenal at around 10/1; Liverpool at 38/1 and Tottenham at 40/1. Certainly a bet on these last three clubs could deliver real value. The first head to head match of the big clubs is on August 24 when United play Chelsea at old Trafford.
